My brother has some (relatively few) RCI points that will expire end of January, so he's letting us use them. DH and I are looking at Ruidoso in September for various reasons but the most recent reviews here on TUG are several years old and not very encouraging as far as TS quality goes. Any recent experience that might help us make a decision? Thanks!

It has been awhile but I used to own at Pinecliff Village. It was decent. What I particularly liked was its location. Straight shot to downtown; a simple right hand turn out of the Resort to go to Ruidoso Downs Race Track; and a simple left to go to the Inn of the Mountain Gods casino/golf course...

We stayed at High Sierra last year starting on 9/30, before traveling on to Albuquerque for Balloon Fiesta. We had a great time exploring the area: White Sands, Roswell, Smokey the Bear's park. I only gave the resort a 6 in my TUG review due to some quirks, but nothing that would keep me from going back. The review following mine was a more generous 9.
