Has anyone had luck renting out RCI/Last-Call bookings as a way to offset costs?

Trying to get out of my HGVC, but also planning for the worst-case scenario of having to just pay it off and keep it.

Are you talking about a week you got from RCI as a trade? If so, you can't rent those out.

Thanks for the reply - I guess that's what I'm talking about...

I haven't used any of my points in any way, just bought in April 2019

I'm talking about booking through the RCI website with points from my HGVC.

I have 1600 HGVC points which shows as 4800 points on RCI

If we're talking about the same thing...any idea why you're not allowed to rent that?

The reason it shows as 4800 on RCI is because it lists 3 years worth of HGV points. Current year plus 2.

Thanks for that, double-checked and that's it, so really 1600, so I guess it is a week trade.

Can it be given to "friends" as HGVC Club weeks can? :)

Cheers.
Sure. As long as you don't get money from the transaction, it's fine. And sure, there are people who rent their exchanges out and nothing happens to them. There have also been cases of people who have rented their exchange out, somehow RCI or the resort found out, and when the guests went to check in, they had no accommodations.

I guess much depends upon how things are done. Thanks for the confirmation. I knew this about Club Weeks, but not exchanges.

Cheers.
