Years ago I owned at silverleaf so can't help you with current info but I think they may have changed to IHG, Holliday Inn Vacation Club. When it was silverleaf, they had a pretty good bonus program and they allowed day use for owners. It looks like they bought up most if not all of silverleaf

You might contact Hophop4 - I think she owned in galveston

So SilverLeaf owners are allowed day use. Does Holiday Inn VC still allow Day use to Silverleaf owners?

Silverleaf owners who converted to HICV still have day use. HICV owners who do not own at a Silverleaf resort are not supposed to get day use at Silverleaf resorts but there have been reports of people calling in and being told yes they could have day use and others that have been told no they can not. I guess it depends on who you ask at which resort on any particular day (in terms of non silverleaf HICV owners).

If you bought a silverleaf week now whether it was enrolled in HICV or not when it transferred to you it would not be in HICV and the cost to enroll would be more than $10,000 probably closer to $20,000

Have you read the reviews of the properties. They are pretty awful! Just read an article posted on Goggle that the previous Silverleaf property owners will likely be filing a class action suit against.

If they file against HICV they will say they had nothing to do with it. If they file against Silverleaf, I don't know if they were on solid financial ground, I kind of think not. I have seen reports about bankruptcy in mid 2016. If that is the case I don't know what Silverleaf owners think they can win. Owners are always talking about wanting to start a class action suit but rarely anything comes of it and when they actually organize enough to file, they rarely win anything substantial.

Not my problem. I don't own but it may be a problem for owners at the resorts mentioned. And their resort reviews on RCI are awful.:(!!

that's too bad. When we owned there and even after, we stayed at piney shores, Canyon and Flint and they were all nice well-maintained properties. We liked Piney shores because we could take our boat and dock it at the resort.

Silverleaf owners can use day use at any Silverleaf property. We just got back from Piney Shores yesterday we had our yearly Silverleaf Owners get-to-gether on Saturday. It was cold and windy but no rain. Then it got nice the next two days. We had a real nice stay, no problems. The resort was full on Saturday night but by Monday morning it had cleared out and it was nice and peaceful. I am still a SL owner at Seaside and Holiday Hills and I do not plan to convert to HICV.
