I am a saphire owner through Raintree. I Just came back from Club Regina Puerto Vallarta where I do have to report a bad experience with an "owner update." We were told that Raintree had switched to a program where if you did not use your points in any given year you would not be charged a maintenance fee. This was just a scam to try to get you to convert your current membership to a new program. We were told there would be no attempt to sell us anything, just inform us of the new changes. This was false. We were told that we needed to pay over $67,000 to convert to this new program and even then we would be required to pay maintenance fees for 8 of the next 10 years. DO NOT attend these "owner updates" unless you want to waste your time.

Went to the owner update at the same location back in May. When the salesman started the pitch, I told him I’m happy with my current Raintree 7/15 arrangement and zoned out. 20 minutes and a nice mimosa later, I was on my way to the pool.

Cheers
