By HHN Staff/ Hawaii News Now/ hawaiinewsnow.com
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Some heartwarming news for Albatross lovers: Birds recently hatched at Turtle Bay resort are off to a good start in life.
The resort released new images of a family of Laysan Albatross birds that have “check in” so-to-speak on the North Shore.
The resort says the chicks and their doting mothers were seen enjoying the weekend eating lunch on the green near the golf course nesting area.
Other chicks have also been hatched at the resort, which is home to 100 acres of marsh land which houses endangered waterbirds like the Hawaiian Stilt, Hawaiian Coot, Hawaiian Moorhen, Hawaiian Duck, and now the Albatross.
The resort said of the six chicks recently born, five of them survived and are doing well....."
