I can more often than not add my MR# on line, but for my most recent Interval exchange booking when I navigate to my booking enter my MR# and hit submit it just comes back with the field empty again.

And you are sure there is no error message on the screen somewhere? This is so confusing to me since I have never not been able to.

Steve, I couldn’t see any error message and I have tried it a few times now.
I was using my iPad, which is what I have used to add it successfully before.
I will try using my wife’s macbook later, just to test another option and look carefully for any error messages.

If you see that it's not working, call into the Marriott Rewards line.
I had an issue with a hotel reservation using my points and they were
having trouble updating it themselves as well. Turns out the weather
seems to be affecting their computer system so not everything is
updating like it should be. We had to get a supervisor involved and
I was on the phone for almost an hour while they tried to fix it.
In the end they got it done but that was my 3rd agent trying to fix it.

And just a side note, I got to Platinum Elite from all the II exchanges
I did last year. Went from Gold to Platinum Elite. Surprised me! LOL

My guess it's some unrelated error. For me, the system was flagging email address, even though it was already there, and I couldn't see the error because it's way at the top of the screen.

I would disagree with the theory as my experience is I've always been able to add it, and just did so again. I did so at least 3 times last year.
Without knowing the source of the weeks you traded into, and whether a MR# had been previously added, we can't evaluate if the theory is correct or not. I have yet to hear that an MR# couldn't be added online to a bulk bank, but it may have happened.

I'm still a newbie here, learning so much from everyone...what is "bulk bank weeks"? That is what it shows in Marriott for my II trade.
Bulk bank is where Marriott deposits a bunch of weeks that it controls into II inventory, as opposed to a week deposited by an owner (you or me) to exchange with. They are often deposited 2-3 months prior to check-in, but the sightings board has been showing deposits many months in advance recently. Generally, bulk bank weeks have the worst view category assigned to them, but not always.

You should sign up for membership so you can see this in action in the sightings forum.

This is very true. However, I am thinking it is possibly it's an account related thing. The odds of me being able to add it every single time for a long time would seem pretty slim? Maybe there are multiple causes even. I am just doubting I am that lucky I guess. But yes, no hard data.

I have just tried again on the Macbook, still no success and no error messages anywhere on the page.
I will try by phone now.

I haven't been able to add my MR# online to a bulk bank, or any bank.

Now you've heard, er read, it.

Chris, how did you get your exchanges to count toward your platinum? I’m just a few days short of platinum. I had 3 II exchanges that didn’t get listed. I tried calling yesterday to get these added and was told they couldn’t do it.

I have no clue.
I always call ahead and add my MR number and then at check in make sure they have it again.

I think there is a link on the site that you can add any missing stays and they will investigate it for you.
I have never used it so don’t know how effective it is.
Call back and ask for a supervisor.

Like @chriskre said, you should call. Ask for a supervisor if they say no again. I've always received credit for any II exchange into Marriott.

All of my stays have always counted. I believe by adding your MR #, that's all it takes.

Yes, some MVC resorts are more efficient / dependable than others in getting Elite nights posted, but provided your MR# is attached by email or phone or eventually at check in then Interval exchange stays are eligible and should be credited.
If they are not credited, then you should still be able to get them credited by completing a Missing Stay request.

Adding your number is now no guarantee that you will get the credit needed without a fight. I had our number attached to our last Aruba exchange and it didn't post. Had to open a missing stay request to get it done. Even though the number was attached, the nights and points did not post automatically. Ever since the merger, everything is a mess.

I had an issue with logging into the app today, trying for the first time since merging accounts. The first two people were particularly unhelpful; finally got transferred to a supervisor on the platinum line (I am lowly silver) who gave me the right advice to fix the “known” issue (although the first two reps seemed unaware/clueless.) In the process, she was able to add my # to a second Ii exchange successfully. As she was doing it, she did note that there are sometimes issues doing it, even for them. Looking for to two consecutive weeks on HHI in March for my daughter’s spring break!

I have always had difficulty getting credit in Aruba.
Because for whatever reason they have my name or my husbands name backward

Instead of GrayFal, Pat they always have my first name as my last. Pat, Grayfal. So of course the MR number doesn’t match my name.
Years of frustration. Just make sure you get a print out midway thru your stay to confirm it is correct or in most cases incorrect then have them change it. Also get paper printout at checkout so you can forwarded it with your missing stat report.

I was able to add my Marriott II exchange on the website by following the steps earlier in this thread, but unable to add my Westin II exchanges. But......maybe the integration is the issue. Also the Marriott confirmation number was 8 digits but Westin II exchange confirmation number was just 6 digits.

For my one Westin exchange to date, Marriott has been unable to add my MR#. They told me to add it at the resort. The CSR mentioned the 6-digit confirmation was the problem. The CSR checked for a conversion, but had no luck.

Thanks. We’ll remember to add it at check in, since we have a couple of Westin II exchanges and would like the elite nights stay credits

This. There has been no tried and true method, even before the merger. Make sure you're using the Marriott reservation number and not the II reservation number. And if calling then make sure you're calling Marriott Rewards and not some other Marriott reservation line.

If once you don't succeed...try another method, and then try again.

I am thankful for this thread I was about to ask this question since I had a 7 day stay Thanksgiving 2018 (extended 2 days with cash) that had not showed up in my account from an II exchange. I never got the Marriott email for this stay as I have in the past so I wondered if something was off about how they viewed me. I called and it took time but the rep after multiple explanations by me and holds was able to add the 7 days and give me my reward points. I was not able to add my stay since I did not have a receipt for the 7 day II stay only my cash 2 day stay.

I was also able to add my rewards number to two 2019 summer weeks (thru searching the confirmation number) I had exchanged thru II and will be able to ensure I get credit for my upcoming 5 day stay thru a convention block.
