We are going back to our Home Resort SVR during the 4th of july and have no idea as to how bad(traffic, people)or good thing will be(fireworks).
I don't want to do the Parks on the 3rd or the 4th. I would rather stay at the resort.
So for those who are in Orlando during that week how was it. TIA

If you like it hot and crowded, go for it.

Even if you aren't at the parks on those days, the resorts will also be at peak capacity. I did fourth of July in Orlando only once, I won't do it again.

I was in Orlando at Easter when Grande Vista was at capacity and maybe it's different because it is not so hot that time of year but the pools and parking lots at the resort cleared out for the most part during the day so it wasn't crowded at all in the pools or using the other resort facilities. It was only in the evening and night that the parking lot filled up and things felt more crowded.

I was just in Orlando during the Christmas/New Years Week. During the day - the resorts clear out. In the evening, they are full. Not bad, but doable. Depending on parking and what unit you are in, parking may not be close to the front of your unit.

We even had the pool to ourselves one evening.

People seem to love Hilton Head in the summer but with the exception of the time I am in the water, 85% of daylight time is lost IMO because it is just too hot and humid.

Come further north or to Canada - often 75-84 F (daytime)
We lived in St Louis for 12 years & July was not the most comfortable month .

About 18 years ago we did the end of May (inc Memorial Day weekend) on Sanibel.
(98 F - except in the pool or gulf ) Won't do that again .

The Canadian Vacation Club we own has units in a smaller Myrtle Beach TS resort .
The July weeks get you the most TPU's when deposited in RCI . ( you generally have to pay the MF early to get one & have it deposited) . I would be surprised if many Canadian members / owners have ever actually stayed there for a July week .
