Wyndham Grand Desert Vegas: It's $239 for the exchange for 3 nights. But then, there's an $85 cleaning fee. That's $324. And, they want my exchange and membership fee to do this.
Or, I can go through Bookings.com and pay $371 for the same 3 nights.

Ultimately, why are are they asking $239 for a 3 night exchange in RCI Weeks?

It seems to me that exchange fees should be reduced when booking in RCI weeks for less than a week. This seems especially true with the 3 day exchanges.

Vote with your feet. Those charges are ridiculous.

Short exchanges often don't make financial sense.

Does the Booking.com price include all taxes and fees? Those booking sites often give a low-ball price in the search but then are much higher when all the fees and taxes are added.

Even with taxes, the price point is still too close. And, I could add points protection for another $69 in RCI for the same protection that my credit card and Bookings offers me for free up to 2 days out (aka a full refund if I change my mind).

All of the booking sites give you the price without taxes and fees when you search. It's not until you select that you see what it will cost with them. I use Booking.com a lot and really like it. I like the filters it gives you for searching. One thing I always do is search for places that do not require pre-payment.
