Once owned these: FirstFairway@Walden X 2; Lawai Beach; ManhattanClub; PuebloBonitoRose; 4 South Africa--now timeshare-free
Every time I enter my new home, I say out loud, "I love my home!" And I really mean it!
I know just how your feel, Dave. I say the same thing every time I drive into the country club. This is the best place we've ever lived and we are so thankful to be here. Retirement rocks!

I agree with what Dave and Karen say. My girlfriends and I have all discussed how lucky we consider ourselves to live in the community that we do. I feel blessed every time I pass the waterfalls at the entrance to Anthem.

Jerry and I are in Sun City West (PatStreet you helped us back in 05/06! send me an email)

We love it. Yes there are age differences but we see more and more our age coming in. I will admit I prefer grocery shopping outside "the walls" ;)
But we have wonderful neighbors and they are all ages. Believe me some times I can't keep up with them. You can be as busy as you want.

We love our house and I say it each morning I awake and see the sun shining in! Ours is a Del Webb built in 94 with a large oversized lot. Coming from Ohio then 28 yrs in Oregon this beats them all! Sun and blooming flowers all yr long!

Retirement is wonderful

I'm in the same camp (in Sun City Hilton Head) with Janette. Although I haven't moved in permanently yet, I closed on my new home late last year and I'm very happy with my purchase.

I hired an excellent building inspector to monitor the construction process from day one. Several TUGgers and non-TUGgers had recommended him to me. He did a marvelous and thorough job and came up with numerous issues for the builder to fix. Pulte has been as responsive as I would expect and has fixed everything that I expected. As with all building inspectors, my guy found a few items that he would have liked to have seen changed but that weren't reasonable considering the cookie-cutter nature of the Pulte building process. Those changes would have been reasonable - and expected - had I been building a custom home.

As Janette said, life is what you make of it. Every time I enter my new home, I say out loud, "I love my home!" And I really mean it!

I have an in-home meeting with my Pulte Customer Service Manager scheduled for Tuesday morning to go over a few miscellaneous issues - none of them big problems that would stop me from fully enjoying my home.
We are having a house built in SCHH right now. Can we get the contact information of the house inspector that you used? It would be great fully appreciated.
Thanks

I'm sorry, but you are replying to a post that is 7 years old. When you use the search function, it can go as far back as 2005 - be sure you look at the date of the posts you pull up.

He may still have it, or he may not - it's been at least 7 years.

I am on St. Thomas right now and don't remember the name of our inspector. Your neighbors should be able to give you the name of your rep and they will know who you should contact. We will be home Feb 12. We would love to meet you.
