To me those are all common sense, minus buying spa treatments on the first day - which I will do because contrary to the article, there are specials when you do it that way.

A couple pet peeves of mine that have been on pretty much every cruise (keep in mind I've always sailed on Disney, minus one time) are people letting their kids run wild and people who attempt to skip the muster drill. Parents need to accept that you can't take a vacation from parenting. Kids have died in pools on cruise ships because parents were off doing something else. And every cruise I have been on has had a longer than needed muster drill because there is always one family that the entire ship is waiting on to show up for the muster drill because they decided that they could hide out somewhere and avoid it.
