Hi.

I am using my first starwood weeks at Westin Riverfront and the concierge has asked me twice during the first day for a meeting with a salesperson.
Or hehe they said that it was nothing about selling so maybe not a salesperson

I would get 8.000 SP for what they say will be one hour.

Is it worth it? What sort of questions can I expect? I have no plans in buying anything new, especially not from the developer. First time I bought I bought from developer and it was to late to rescind when I found tug... shit happens :)

Anyway, should I tell them how much bullshit my first salesperson where talking? A lot of stuff he said was so wrong, big surprise:D

Ps. Sorry if my English isn't 100%, I'm from Sweden :)

Thanks for the help!

Ps2. No snow in Avon but nice hotel and great service so far!

Don't pay any attention to the concierge. This is definitely a plot to get you into another timeshare presentation. Sometimes they call it an "owner's update". We have attended these and they are a complete waste of time. They will try to tell you that they have free gifts, Starpoints, or whatever. but you are not obligated to go. It's up to you whether or not you want the free stuff. We just ignore them and they give up eventually.

Sometimes if you don't sign up for the update, they'll increase the incentive to $150 - $200 later in the week. I'd do it for that amount in cash.

Aha, thanks for the info.
I went there two days ago, got 8000 SP.
Was my first meeting, this is the first time we use our SO, bought in January :)
I actually think it was pretty relaxed and the salesperson was friendly and didn't try to push anything when I said I had no plans buying..
But I was pretty clear about it, I live in Sweden and she understood that 2weeks per year in the US is enough at the moment :) for now ;)
