Good for the French people standing together to protest changes in their retirement system. IMHO.

We arrived on the first day of a strike on the RER trains (a one day strike due to safety concerns). We had to take an Uber which cost us about $60 and we sat in LA style traffic. I feel sorry for all involved, both residents and tourists.

Btw, here is an article from a link in the original article that give a bit more information about the changes that Macron plans. https://apnews.com/21a026a9b9bb4655b66713a57a51e868 I had no idea that the retirement age in France is 62 and that everyone receives a modest pension. Interesting.

Hopefully those workers are willing to pay up to all the innocent people they inconvenience. They should have no problem if they truly believe in the cause.

I am not a Macron fan but many pension systems are flawed, i.e. greater promised payout than the systems can afford, and he has guts to change it when none of his predecessors successfully made the change.
