Went to our chain grocery store yesterday and the shelves were full of romaine. The bagged lettuce said Salinas. The unbagged was unmarked. Not sure what to think.
If we were to see it, my husband would have dumped all the packages marked as being from Salinas on the floor. There is no excuse for the store to not pull them off the shelves with the FDA issued advisory.

I never remember any of this growing up

Do you think with this happening every other month that this could be sabotage of some sort?

I just returned an unopened bag of romaine that I bought 3 days ago to our local Costco. The clerk told me the Costco romaine was good to eat and there was no recall. I pointed out the sticker that stated it was grown in Salinas, CA. They refunded my $5.99 as Costco has a great return policy. I don't understand why their romaine is excluded from the recall. I wasn't prepared to take any chances.
