Some people have asked about the Fia Fia Luau at the Marriott Ko Olina resort.

We went this past Tuesday and it was the best luau my DW & I have been to. Was there anything outstanding about it NO BUT it was the best because there wasn't anything about it that was bad.
Good:
Only about 150 guests
Great fire show
Good MC
Great location at resort with sunset view of ocean
Every seat in the place has great view of stage (maybe due to only 150 guests)
Wait to be seated about 5 minutes (maybe due to only 150 guests)
Good food and fast line at buffet (maybe due to only 150 guests)

Bad
It is only on Tuesday.

Nothing of it really outstanding but at previous Luau we have been to there were just way too many people so the lines were long. Many people seated in the back had almost no views of stage. The food lines were so long that if you didn't pay for VIP upgrades by the time you got the food it was cold or very picked over.

We had the "general seats" about $100/person which were the lowest priced tickets but we had great seats and two free Mai-Tai The "better tickets " were $15 more and slightly better seats and three mai-tai which to me wouldn't be worth the extra money

Aloha

I went to it a few years ago and as Bill has said it is something not to miss.

Get in line early so you can grab seats in one of the front tables seating area, and don't forget your cameras (or cell phone cameras).

Have fun!

Yes, we consider this the most "fun." ...and the Old Lahaina Luau on Maui the most "authentic (and what I mean by that is the most like what you would imagine a Luau to be like)."

Owners do not get a discount.

Bummer.

I'm hoping I ask this question...and get a YES one day in the future. It would be a nice benefit for certain MVC levels or MKO weeks owners.

Until then...it is just visionary wishful thinking.

Well look at this way; if you charge it to your room at least you'll get a bucketful of Bonvoy Points. Not to mention that you'll eat well and have a great time enjoying the show!:cheer::cheer:

Don't know if they've removed the option, but you can catch the show for free by snagging the chairs on the Check-in desk level that face the ocean. Bring a dinner and have your own luau overlooking the show. Every time I go I'm surprised they haven't blocked that view.
