Stay away from this company. They are under bankruptcy protection. Seems like few developers filed law-suits again them, which drained the company. I have two closings with them right now, for the last 8 months, and no progess. Likely to loose all monies paid to them, which is about $5K. Larry Morse is one of the owner of this company and he has now stopped responding to my emails.

I'm so very sorry, that is horrible...

So sorry, hoping eventually they make it right for you.

Thinking about it, if developers filed lawsuits against every company that sell resale the only resales would be from individual owners on tug, redweek, Craigslist, etc. Developers have lots of money to sue for whatever reason to knock even honest companies out of business. Hopefully the developers only sue the dishonest sellers.

Further thinking, the developers suing the dishonest sellers when then are dishonest themselves.

Interesting. I “bought” two free timeshares from them. One transferred quickly. The other has taken 8 months and still hasn’t transferred. Now wondering if it is just stuck in limbo....

An update... (Not a good update.) Emails are now bounced back. I am wondering what happens with a timeshare that was in the transfer process. Do I need to worry that at some point I will be the owner but not know? I purchased a timeshare for free. The transfer was never officially completed.

Thanks for the alert. All these company names sound similar so it is difficult to glean which ones are legit and which ones are not.

This doesn't sound promising. If you have a phone number for them then I would call them directly and see if they even bother to answer their phone.

I understand that you are on the hook for $5,000 or so. My advice would be to contact the Consumer Protection Division of the State Attorney General's Office in the State in which this Company is located (State Crime).

Furthermore, if you mailed this money to them, then you should be able to contact the Postal Inspectors and ask the to begin Mail Fraud proceedings (Federal Crime). Sometimes the money may suddenly appear back in your Bank account if you start these type of proceedings (and you don't even need to hire your own Lawyer). Remember, you can only contact the Feds if some of this transaction was done using the U.S. Mails.

$5,000 is a lot of money to see sail away for nothing. I wouldn't hesitate in pursuing this. Sounds to me like they need some metal bracelets and to spend some time in a small cage with thick bars.

The timeshare was free. My worry is whether I many someday get a bill from the resort for maintenance fees. Contracts were signed, but I never received a deed or heard from the resort that I am an owner. The original poster may have lost $5K

100% resale!!
I got a Wyndham Grand Desert contract from them last Jan. It took Wyndham forever, but VPFL only took 2-3 weeks from their end. Wyndham didn't xfer until August though.

I “bought” a free timeshare from them on eBay in April. I finally received the week in early September but only bc I sent in the transfer paperwork into MVC myself (the deed had already been recorded). If you need to reach them try calling the phone numbers associated with Resort Release. They are the same people. I might have a few numbers for them if you send me a message I will look tomorrow.
