Hi all - I am traveling to and from London/Paris - into Heathrow, EuroStar to Paris and fly home from Paris in mid-December. We will have 3 days in London and 3 in Paris. Any suggestions about convenient places (neighborhoods) to stay that make sight-seeing and travel easier? It looks like the off season hotel rates will benefit us. We will prefer comfort, cleanliness and convenience over budget. Thanks all!

Hi! I just returned from London and stayed in the Covent Garden neighborhood. LOVED IT. Many tube stations near by. Easy to get to everything. So many wonderful restaurants and shops in that neighborhood. Very lively social area to be in . We stayed at an amazing airbnb ....if that's of interest, I can give you the info on that.

Great location, walkable to Musee d'Orsay and the Louvre among other attractions, Metro nearby. Great staff to help with dinner reservations and other sightseeing needs. Monoprix Grocery store directly across the street to stock up for wine and chocolate needs.:)

Go to Sonder.com and search within their London locations. Filter on "covent gardens" neighborhood. I stayed at the property on King St. (28-30 King St). I was on the 3rd floor and there was an elevator. The location was incredible. Lots of restaurants in the neighborhood and great shops, too. Across the street from a "mini" Tesco -- small grocery with lots of prepared foods. Had a washer dryer in unit. We booked directly through Sonder (vs going through Airbnb and got a discount that way). We had a one BR, one bath -- very nicely furnished. My only forewarning as the tub was VERY tall. If you have mobility issues getting in and out of the tub would be a challenge. Sonder was easy to deal with and very professional. My traveling companion is a commercial real estate developer and he was very impressed with how Sonder developed these units.

Thank you so much -this sounds great. We're pretty short - but still agile - thanks for the caution tho, it's very thoughtful!
