Happy Thanksgiving fellow Canadians! I hope everybody has a happy and safe holiday.

I'm off to bake a blueberry pie and an apple/cranberry crumble while our 16lb turkey is thawing so it can be brined overnight before getting stuffed and cooked tomorrow. I also have a big ham to serve for the 2 non-turkey lovers. Our 3 adult children, our 2 daughter-in-laws and 3 of our 4 grandchildren will be here to help us eat it all.

I was going to ask what you eat, but it sounds pretty much the same as our Thanksgivings! Enjoy the day with your loved ones.

A little different in timing. Only Canada would choose Monday instead of Thursday, lol. Four days off vrs 3 days off.

Happy Thanksgiving Canada.

Makes sense for two reasons. The harvest is earlier in Canada. (Overall) and November is too close to Christmas/New Years. Never liked getting a few days off in University for us thanksgiving then back for a few weeks then exams then off for 6 weeks.
