Some of our favorites are Carlsbad Village Inn (added bonus the beach, not just the town), the Worldmarks in Vancouver, Seattle and Victoria, The Custom House in Boston, and The Manhattan Club in NYC. Los Abrigados in Sedona and Villas de Santa Fe are wonderful, as are Church Street Inn and Lodge Alley in Charleston. You can tell we prefer urban vacations to being out in the boonies. We are starting to repeat ourselves (not that there's anything wrong with that!), where else would you suggest going where you don't have to get in the car unless you want to?

Anything timeshare in SF is great for that. Not as sure about San Francisco for us anymore. We saw about everything, and we aren't really excited about going there again. New Orleans definitely fits the bill.

We need to try Charleston. I would also like to stay in Asheville. NYC doesn't sound fun to me. Sounds like a lot of work. :)

La Cascada in San Antonio is great with it’s location near the Riverwalk and we absolutely love La belle Maison in NOLA.

Trapp family Lodge has mountain biking right outside the door. Also same trails are cross country skiing in winter.

For us, Marriott Mountainside in Park City fits that bill. Mostly because I want to be riding out the front door up onto the mountain bike trails. There's also a summer fun park with alpine slide and the like. Plus you can ride the chairlift up the mountain to see the scenery. All that stuff is steps away. If you were more interested in shopping, dining, and bars, Marriott Summit Watch (also in Park City) would be great.

Walking out the door of DVC's Villas at Grand Californian puts you right in California Adventure theme park. Or if you go out the other door, into Downtown Disney. Both are pretty swell, if you like those things.

Hyatt Pinon Pointe in Sedona is walking distance to shops, restaurants, galleries and you can get onto mountain bike trails right from the unit.

We love love love Carlsbad Inn.

We also love Avenue Plaza in New Orleans during the week before Mardi Gras. You walk out and you're right on one of the main parade routes, middle of the action pretty much all week long :)

I’m thinking about Hilton Head Island. Bahamas was great there too, but the TS Resort there feels manufactured or man-made, while the nature beauty in Hilton Head feels more natural and authentic.

By far Harborside at Atlantis. 3 beaches, many pools with water activities, several restaurants, a casino, shopping. No need for a car - they run you all over Atlantis in their shuttles.

Not a timeshare, but this past Sept. staying at Cable Mountain Lodge in a luxury suite was ideal. Right outside the gate to Zion National Park.Could just walk in. Or take a free shuttle into Springdale. Loved it.
