We are looking into flights out of the NY area, flying into Venice and returning from Rome. I've been using Google flights and the prices are all over the place. Today I see the Multi-city trip from Newark to Venice, then Rome to LaGuardia for $700, including the $120 baggage/seat fee. Not sure if I will see better fares or if I should go ahead and buy them now. Travel is for June/July of 2020.

Also, is it worth paying the $120 just to secure seats together? We may have to check 1 luggage, but most likely not 3. We are 3 people flying together and would want to sit together for the flight.

Any thoughts on this pricing?

That is an excellent fare. What's the name of the airline?
... In any event, don't start nickle+diming at this point.
You're gonna spend buckets on this vacation anyway.

United - Brussels airlines, Lufthansa
Air Canada - Lufthansa, United, Brussels airlines
Going to Venice is Non-stop, coming home has one stop, with 1 1/2 hr. layover.

The flights I've seen from Florida to Milan, Zurich or Vienna, are $900+.
But that's economy class & DW wants us to upgrade. <sigh>

This is economy, anything else was way more, like over $2000
