I am trying to help a friend that owns several MVC properties but is clueless on how to use their ownership. Apparently, he ignored an email from Marriott that he could bank his unused 2019 DPs and missed the deadline of June 30, so he now has 7825 points to use by Dec. 31st, 2019. The MVC customer service agents have suggested depositing points for airfare through Our Vacation Center, but no one will say what the value of the points could be towards the cash price for flights. Any Tuggers out there that can make some suggestions? I know they can also be used in II - ideally he'd like to snag something in Hawaii next fall but they can't be used for Marriott properties. Thanks in advance!

Seems reports have been that DC points exchanged for airfare have a value of approx 30 to 35 cents a point.

He could always try to rent them for cash on www.vacationpointexchange.com or www.ownertrades.com. It’s getting late in the year, but if priced right, he likely could still rent them.
