I have a search request in II for Key West for late Spring of 2021. I'm asking for several specific resorts I'd expect will come in at some point, but I want to make sure my expectations are reasonable. I'm asking for any of six different Hyatts, and also the Galleon, using my WorldMark credits. Is this likely to match at some point? How far ahead do these resorts make deposits to II? I'm trying to coordinate the timeshare stay with a Caribbean cruise, so the sooner I can set things up, the better. If this exchange isn't like to work, I want to make other arrangements.

Anybody have any advice?

It’s possible but it requires date flexibility. The more dates you provide, the better the odds. I find II’s travel demand index and past TUG Sightings helpful.

Here are some TUG sighting examples (checkout the post dates to determine how far in advance these were deposited). Remember what’s sighted online are the leftovers (not picked up by OGS).

Thanks. Those threads would indicate about six months out. Where does this chart come from? I've seen it posted before, but don't know the source. Late Spring would be ~Weeks 19-22, so demand isn't not impossible. I haven't booked the cruise yet, hoping to get the t/s week in line first. As for the resorts themselves, has anyone had success exchanging into the Hyatts or Galleon in Key West using WorldMark?

Hyatt's pattern has been to deposit approximately 5 months in advance. If they deposit the week(s) you have requested, you will match.

Thank you. If I lived within driving distance of Florida, I wouldn't be so obsessed about it. But I live north of Seattle, nearly at the Canadian Birder. So it's kind of important to have things in place before I jump too deep. Between airfare in two directions, connecting flights, the timeshare stay, the cruise I want to take, and whatever else, it's kind of a big deal. :)

Thanks. Currently looking for the t/s as early as May 15 through June 12, 2021. I'll book the cruise around that, either before or after the t/s.

In the II website, go to the page for a resort you're interested in. On the right side near the top will be a link labeled "Travel Demand Index." If you select that link a pop-up window will open that shows that chart. The charts are region-specific, not resort-specific.

Thanks, Eric. I hadn't seen that. I'll check it out.

mid-May thru mid-June should be a slam dunk

Hope so. :) I just don't want to commit to too much non-cancellable stuff (like airfare) before having other things in place. The timeshare stay is the most critical of the things I need to book, but it needs to happen first.

I'd concur with the above. However, you may not get matched until maybe 3-4 months out, at least that's what happened with my RCI OGS that i put in like 2 years in advance. I wanna say it was 4 months out and I hadn't gotten a match yet, so I was forced to book plane tickets (the prices kept going up and up and up). Then about 3 weeks later, RCI matched my specific week, but it was 4th of July. VERY VERY hot. ooh, so hot. LOL!

Granted, II has "more" (IMO) than RCI does.
