If there are any Spinnaker at Shipyard owners here, how far is the trip to the beach? Is it walkable?

Thanks in advance!

Just guessing 1/4 mile and it is walkable. You can ride your bike to the beach and secure them to a bike rake.

Spinnaker @ Shipyard (HHI) owners this is your chance to posts.

We did pull up the google map view but we weren’t sure if there is a direct walking path to the beach or if we need to walk to the Spinnaker beach access.

You must have missed the ZOOM feature which shows that, depending on the location of your villa, you may have to walk a short distance to cross a residential road, make a quick right or left, then turn and head down the "your closest path" which goes straight to the beach, and does not encroach on the homes to either side. It appears that it might take 5+ minutes at most.

This shows the numerous paths better, each of which leads directly onto the beach
from the end of each street.

OP, I was there in June and the bike path is very well maintained and an easy 5 minute ride at most. Spinnaker units typically have 2 bikes included with each. The walk (which we did most days) was 15 minutes at most from the units. Very easy. If you are carrying items back and forth, lockers are available right at the beach house and are booked through the front desk.

That’s awesome! Thanks! How big are the lockers?

How big are the lockers?

I would estimate they are about 3-4 ft deep, 30 inches wide and about 36 inches tall (rough estimate). Pretty large and come with a lock in the rental fee. I cannot remember how much the rental was but do remember thinking it was crazy cheap. We stored 4 beach chairs, a sun umbrella, a small boogie board and a basket with beach toys and still had some room to spare.

On day one we drove down to the parking lot to drop off the beach stuff then simply walked or biked each day of our stay. On our checkout day we simply drove the car back down and loaded up. There is a turnaround right at the door to the beach house so you are right in front of the lockers when you load and unload.

We loved having those 2 bikes available to us and we used those most of the time to get to the beach. One family member would load up our van with mostly everyone and drop them off at the beach and then come back and would ride a bike back or stay behind to allow the baby to nap. I loved staying there. It was a great spot.
