hi
Someone from corporate (who should have their facts straight) told me face to face in a sales presentation that Wyndham owns Norwegian, whose cruises Wyndham offers. I could not find any facts to back that up.
thanks for a reply and your expertise.

From an article in 2016. If Wyndham purchased them since 2016 I think several here would know about it

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings is a publicly traded company on the NYSE. It’s a component of the S&P 500. It is most certainly NOT owned by Wyndham. Maybe your salesman owned a share or two in his 401k.

Nope. Also, Norwegian cruise line is worth more than twice as much as Wyndham Destinations ($11 billion vs $4 billion). So even they wanted to buy NCL it is unlikely they could.

DRI wants owned some stock in Norwegian CC. You could use DRI The Club program to exchange for a cruise.

Anyone know if the Apollo Management that owns 50% of NCL is also the same Apollo Group Management that may potentially buy out HGVC?

They are. But they no longer own those NCL shares. Apollo is in the business if buying and selling companies, and they've sold their NCL stake. (They could own up to 5% without reporting).

Apollo also owns Diamond, which is probably where the "Diamond owns NCL" rumor above came from. I'm not sure if they ever owned them both at the same time.
