I used my final destination points to book Newport Coast Villas for a week and then decided to make a side trip by trying to rent one of the timeshares in Rancho Mirage using the MVC and Vistana codes. I would like to know if there is really any difference between the two timeshares. As well, since I am renting, will I be paying for parking? Thanks.

We own at DSV1 but have also stayed at Westin Mission Hills.

Personally, if we were renting we would stay at the Marriott- either DSV1 or DSVII. The feel of the units in either of these sections of the resort is much nicer than WMH in our opinions.

Best regards.

We much preferred the WMH over DVSII. Larger rooms. Quiet pool. BBQ on our patio deck.

We stay in both regularly. If you golf, WMH wins because use of the golf facility is free. DSV I rooms are the nicest. DSV II rooms are smaller but better than WMH. WMH rooms are dreary. DSV villas have alot of nice features, including night lights which come on at the bottom of the bedside stands when you get out of bed. We love DSV and prefer DSV to WMH, unless we want free use of the driving range, then we pick WMH. JW Marriott restaurants are also superior to WMH restaurants.
