see this happening all over.. most folks will not worry about it but I find it highly offensive to owners that are exchanging in to a resort and are required to pay this unnecessary fee. All i can see it being is a CASH GRAB,, plain and simple. Only when we raise up and demand this be removed, and I mean the ownership and board member of HOA's, it will stay adn be a pain..

MOst of the places that are doing it is Wyndham controlled properties, Massanutten Resorts, and other I am sure other.

Was planning to do a last min deal into Wyndham KingsGate and see a mandatory $6 a day resort fee I deleted it from my list. This is making timeshare look like a scam deal to more and more folks. With this and Waste,,.. er WestGate properties make me want to puke.

We were at Wyndham's Kingsgate earlier this week.

The $6/day fee wasn't as bad as I previously thought since I had my granddaughter with me. They have an arcade, no coins/tokens needed... it's covered by the fee. And mini-golf (which may have been free before the resort fee... I can't remember.) We also borrowed DVD movies at no additional cost. So, depending on the type of trip and who's traveling with you, that fee isn't a bad deal.

I believe that stuff was included before the resort figured out a new way to take, steal money from owners, exchangers etc.

A lot of places have DVD's to check out, books, arcades, internet etc. the fee is a rip off plain and simple. just my opinion backed with timeshare experience that started in 1999 traveling with kids. :)
