We got our Real ID's recently. DMV rejected one of the documents that my husband had because it was "from Hawaii, not California." (This is incredibly dumb.) They claimed that the copy of a credit card bill (in my husband's name and addressed to our home in CA) was from Hawaii, because the credit card was a Hawaiian Airlines MasterCard. Fortunately, we had other documents.

My suggestion - take extra documents with you in case one doesn't work.

Another rocket scients at DMV told me that I couldn't put "hazel" as my eye color, because hazel eyes are blue.

I found the article somewhat confusing. New Mexico is considered "compliant", but not everyone in the state has a real ID. I don't but plan to get one next year by the October 1 date.

I throughly dislike pompous as*** like the author of the article who deign to tell me what I know is wrong.

Jerks like him should be forced to watch Sponge Bob videos 23 hours a day and then blog on the existential meeting of said videos.

Cheers

I need to have my passport to enter the USA anyway, so I will just use it if flying domestically inside the USA. I love it when lawyers and bureaucrats get together to develop regulations and implement a process to make everyone "safer".

I'ma be in a heap o' trouble if they want to see local bills. Nothing is in my name except my credit cards and those get paid electronically.

I paid the extra for a passport card when I renewed recently, I refuse to deal with the CA DMV. It worked fine at TSA for a trip im on now.

My eyes are hazel, and Wikipedia says "hazel mostly consists of brown and green." I got a compliant license in AZ a couple of months ago and it clearly states EYES HAZ.
