We keep saying we're going to take the Cumbres Toltec in NM, but so far haven't. We have friends who do it every year.

And since those are all in the USA, here is one iconic Canadian tour train, run on the lines of the former Algoma Central Railway. It departs from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and runs through mostly pristine wilderness in Northern Ontario to the Agawa Canyon and back. It operates throughout the tourist season, but the fall tours when the leaves are changing colour are spectacular.
