They sold them in exotic animal stores in Florida for a long time. It was likely a pet that got away. And when the man fed it, of course it wanted more. Kinkajous eat just about anything, and watermelon isn't very satisfying. But a pet that expects to be fed by people will demand more food from those people.

Tip to the wise: Don't feed animals you don't know. And that includes any stray kinkajous you may find. ;)

You learn something every day. But nobody said it had to be useful. Have never heard of a kinkajou before now. Thanks, I think. :ponder:

Another wonderful thing to watch out for in Florida, in addition to sharks, large snakes and fence-climbing alligators!! o_O:rolleyes:
