Wyndham Midtown 45 New York City. I have a little over 500,000 points and my maintenance fees are just under $2500. I think my the program fee is between $300-400. I'd have to look at my last statement from them.

If you bought from Wyndham and go through Wyndham Ovations, they’d probably give you two years of free 500k pts use. Wyndham Ovations transfers will take 1-2 months.

If MF and pts are correct, that TS is modestly valuable, in the $1k range. However, private transfers will take 4-5 months compared to Wyndham Ovations taking 1-2 months, so you’d be paying $690 more in MF if you go along this route.

Jenny and Donna fooled me, not to mention some things we shared by Conversation.

That makes it even more weird and bizarre.

I think it is a coincidence. Jenny and Donna have nothing positive to say about the firm so I find it difficult to think they could be a shill. If they are they aren’t a very good one.

@OldGuy how do you feel about Abrams with the alleged shill behavior?

They could all be at the same Starbucks, library, or public WiFi.

To create some perceived authenticity, sometimes shills will initially badmouth a person/company, then say they reconciled with the badmouthed person/company, and finally write awesome reviews.

It's a coincidence that the share the same internet connection (not provider, but assigned IP address) and are all commenting about the same company? How is that possible?

Ohhh, didn’t notice the IP address. That changes everything. Never mind. (Says Rosanna Rosanna Danna).

I’m back to my statement that they aren’t very good shills.

I expect that from scammer companies. You would think a real attorney, and he is as I checked the state of WA, would know that posting fake reviews is illegal.

I'm going to PM you something that is really weird and bizarre, that makes this shilling stuff look insignificant.

BTW, I used to do work for a guy named Shilling.

Attorneys have no magic words that can make a lawfully drawn contract just go away.

Actually, when I spoke to Mr. Abrams years ago, not that I am mentioning that to add any credibility, that is exactly what he had, and appeared to be all he had, magic words that he claimed worked with some timeshare companies.

Come to think about it, in my attempts to give weeks back to resorts, all I had was magic words, persuasion. One resort told me, "We don't care what you do with your week," and another, eventually said, "We'll take your week back . . . "

All I had was magic words. Same words both places. Magic to one, not so magic to the other.

The only 'magic words' they are likely to understand is, 'I won't send another nickel'. and have someone in the office recognize that the faster they get the deed in their hands, the faster they can re-sell it to another suckert who'll make the monthly payments.

Diamond is suing Mr Abrams for interference with contractual or business relations, amongst other legal claims. This wasn’t a good situation for Mr. Abrams, who may now have to explain this before the court and bar ethics counsel.

It just occurred to me 20 min ago that Donna and Jenny may a disgruntled employee.

Jim

Or rent it out.

The strange thing about the resort that finally took our week back is that it is a Prime Spring Break Ski week, a strong rental at $1000, and the maintenance fee was $400-ish, and they have regular front desk operation and rental program. So, it makes more sense to take it back, hold it and rent it than to keep pestering us about it.

No, but I know a guy who did, who lost their entire retirement money.

But they bounced back, ran a lake resort, condo-ed it about before the recession, moved to a Florida golf/Gulf place, and retired.
