We will be traveling to Israel next month on a Collette Tour which covers 9 days and a good overview of much of the country and many highlights. We will have almost 2 full free days at the end of the tour in Jerusalem and are hiring a private tour guide to take us to some of the places not included in the prearranged Tour. The tour covers many of the usual spots in and around Jerusalem but we want to make sure we can add some other "must see" places. For example, the tour guide has suggested taking us to The City of David and to Herod's Tomb while in the area. Any other suggestions? Has anyone done a Collette Tour to Israel?
Thanks, Brian

I went last year on a tour also, but not with that company. I had a wonderful time and I am sure you will too. It was interesting to walk around the ruins of Masada. I think it is a little outside of Jerusalem but worth the trip. The Holocaust museum was a moving and memorable experiance I highly recomend it. The dead sea is also worth a visit if not already on your tour's itinerary.

Planning a trip to Europe and the last few days in Israel. Does anyone know if there is a SIM card you can buy for cell phones that work in European countries and Israel?
