Maybe the Sea Pines Resort should remove all the children play ground activities from the area.

Then maybe all the parents and children will be happy. Plus, their will no more lawsuits liked this at Sea Pines

I am curious why they allowed their 4yr old to play in the trunk section. The trunk is normally dark even during the daytime, so it was pitch black at sunset.

This sounds more like a Darwin issue than the play area according to this snippet.

Agreed. I feel for the parents for the injuries to their child. But what is it about some people? They are never at fault...it is always someone else's fault!! Call in the lawyers! :wall:

Doesn't look like the elevated "tree house/slide" area is somewhere you would normally let a 4-year-old climb without close adult supervision. Maybe we should have parents sign a liability waiver and tattoo a product warning on the back of every child before they can leave the hospital:

"This child may be subject to performing unpredictable acts, some of which may be injurious to his or her health, life and safety, without close adult supervision. You agree to be constantly aware of potential dangers to this child and to provide proper care and supervision at all times. You agree to waive liability where you have failed to do so properly." :p:D

I always rolled my eyes at the (seemingly obvious) product warnings in the instruction manuals of many appliances. Things like "do not open the appliance or try to repair it while plugged in" or "do not immerse in water when plugged in"!! But maybe some things are less obvious to some people. Hence the Darwin Awards, I guess.
