Thank you TUGBBS, for the wealth of information provided. I just closed my very first re-sale HGVC from TUG Market Place here. We are just trying, and if we like it, may buy more in the future.

Last summer, we went to a Vegas presentation and almost bought one, and luckily we did not, and they offered us a VIP package which we bought and spent this summer on Hilton Hawaiian Village for 6 nights, again in exchange for another presentation. This time around they offered 14k bonus points, and we did not budge.

I just want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart, for the sharing of information.

The only thing that is bummer is to now wait in creating an online account. They said that the HGVC website has just been updated recently and has some sort of bugs that prevented me to create an online account. I have called and verified that the information I received from the closing is accurate. I hope they resolve the issue soon so that I can start planning :)

I just realized that to change the status from guest to member you have to put in the code word, am I correct or wrong?

Congrats! While the salesman may be hit or miss, the system is very flexible and user friendly. Ask questions and be engaged with this forum and you will learn the ways to get the most out of your ownership.

One favor, can you add your transaction to rofr.net ?

You actually need to pay a small fee to join. IIRC it's like $15/year.

Cheers.

Yes, that's correct, but the membership did not show up until I put in the codeword, I found out.

Glad that you figured it out before I could respond.

Okay just did it.

I am not certain as to why I can't create the online account though, and it's been a few days. They said they are working on it.
