Received an email requesting info on two "for sale" postings that I have on Tug Market Place.

I emailed the requested info and received the following email back.

"Mike,

Thank you. Having reviewed all the information provided, I have made my offer as clearly as possible below.

1- I will be willing to pay $9,400 for your timeshare B-410, closing will commence as soon as possible.

2- I am hearing impaired in both ears and as a result, I will doing all closing formalities through my broker. I will be responsible for the closing cost and title transfer fees along with my broker fees.

3- Closing will be handled through First American title transfer(www.firstam.com/title ) who would work with your home resort and funds will be held in Escrow during closing. Title company would provide all closing steps and guidance subsequently.

4- My address is 851 E 81st St, Chicago, IL 60619. Phone number for text is 708-321-1789.

Let me know if this works and we will discuss next steps.

My units are both at Royal Haciendas in Playa del Carmen MX and all resales must be handled thru ISCO in Fort Lauderdale.

I seem to remember hearing about these scammers (hearing impaired) in the Tug forums in the past, so I won't be replying to this email.

Hi, just as an FYI. I also received the same emails from Linda Friedlander on a property. Same format emails used, same comment about being hearing impaired. She said she wants to use American Title, which is a legitimate company. But she said that her "broker" will be in touch to arrange documentation, paperwork, and escrow details.

There is just enough of a veneer of legitimacy for someone to believe it. I am almost tempted to proceed to the point where the "broker" contacts me just to see what kind of information they try to ask for.

When this is done, balance will be released to you from Escrow to close the sale.
