Coming Soon HGVC and by Hilton Club Resorts

I see three different terminology used: by Hilton Club, Hilton Grand Vacation Club, and by Hilton Grand Vacation Club. It is the later one that I am confused about as it is used to describe both Maui and Ka Haku by Hilton Grand Vacations Club. Are these two simply regular HGVC resorts, or is this a new twist?

The confusing one is the Ka Haku. I thought that was pure bHC. Guess not.

Los Cabos will be bHC, which is disappointing. Breaks what they were doing with the bHC properties.

Do we know this for sure? Over on a Los Cabo’s thread someone posted that HGV had updated the article from the May Club Traveler in a way that leaves it vague/unanswered if it will be bHC or not. Hate to get my hopes up, but I was starting to.

Those 2 are simply regular HGVC resorts. Looks like all, if not most, resorts in Hawaii are named by Hilton Grand Vacations Club.

Here is what @JIMinNC Posted on a different thread on Cabos:

I hope you are right. When the Club Traveler came out in May, they listed the name of the Los Cabos Resort as "La Pacifica Los Cabos by Hilton Club". But now when I go back to that same web page, they only list it as "New Resort in Los Cabos". So maybe the original Maycommunication was an error or there has been a change in their plans. It never made sense that it was a bHC in the first place.​

It might be old because I don't see The Quin but you can now see some unit descriptions on the website:

It just shows that even Hilton employees are confused by the brand naming.

Why on earth they need to separate resorts from city residences is beyond me, I could argue that Waikiki is every bit as big city as NYC. They have even mixed up Waikiki with 9 month and 6 month club seasons and point structures.

It must drive the IT team nuts programming it for the reservation system.

The source came from HGV.com website. I don't know the age of the webpage, if it's new or old.

Strange. The Quin is listed as a current resort but Central at 5th is "coming soon" even though they were only selling Central at 5th when we had a presentation.

At the bottom it says "As of 6/7/2019" so pretty current. Based on that, I would say that adds credence to the Los Cabos location being bHC. Strange.

If you look at the full list in the link above, you'll see many/most of the newer full HGVC locations use the "by Hilton Grand Vacation Club" terminology/branding. Those function just like the ones that just use the traditional "Hilton Grand Vacations at" designations.
