I made an offer on an annual 3bd MGV Platinum in the FC Is there any sort of documentation I should be asking to see before making deposit if offer is accepted? Any particular questions I should be asking? I know this is quite broad. I appreciate any advice given. I enjoy learning from you all!

Is it a broker or an individual? I’d start with a google search and a TUG search. Ask for an estoppel and call marriott vacation club to verify ownership, and nothing owed.

Use an experienced, reputable outfit to handle the ROFR process, the escrow funds, and all the documentation needed to get it into your name.

LT Transfers does a great job for a lot of TUG members. Website below:

Best of luck in your purchase and welcome to TUG.

It’s through a broker but the listing belongs to another broker. If you have a moment can you briefly explain what an estoppel is?

Thank you! I’ve been wanting to do this since 2017 when my friend let me trade her Aruba Ocean Club studio in II and I scored a 2bd at the Surf Club and we loved it! If this one falls through, there will be another. I’m not sweating it.

An estoppel is basically a letter that verifies what is owned, who owns it and the financial piece (up to date on maintenance fees and anything owed). Also try going through some of the advice articles here on TUG.
