The next three days will be spent in the AC at home. It is a shame as there is an event I want to go to tomorrow, but the heat index is supposed to be above 110. No thank you.

We had planned on anniversary date/dinner to our favorite catfish place (yeah, I know, forever the romantic!) but when we got around this morning we both said, Nah!

I've been working outside, and I'm now down to my playing weight. Guess I'll be back in the starting lineup.

Hey, I'm in Cupertino, California it's 82 and I'm roasting. Just came into the air set at 71.

If our AC is/was set at 82° it would be cool. It probably is in the house.

We are golfing 5 days a week at 109-115 degrees F (hottest during the day). But it is "dry" heat and we start our rounds between 7am to 8am, although the heat does wear on us.

I golf twice a week and I haven’t turned on the AC yet this year, thank you marine layer and ocean breezes.

Same here only it's not dry heat. Actually, it's so humid the first few tee times have been foggy lately.

My group started at 9:00 AM last Monday, and I had been watching the remnants of Barry coming up. I have to decide by about 7:00, and the rain was almost here, so I told them I was passing. I saw them all on Wed, and they gave me hard time because it never rained and it was 75° on Monday.

121 heat index in Iowa today. 110 to 120 in a big area there.

This is about the only time of the year that I miss living in Southern CA. At least the low humidity there makes it bearable. In N.C. it’s like getting hit in the face with a warm wet towel every time we go outside lately. But, the good news is that the dog days of summer haven't even arrived yet! LOL. Heat index 105-110 for the next few days. Dew point 79 at 6:30am!

Brewster Green (two weeks).
And the early week's heat wave we experienced here in SC, is to be lower for the next four days. Go figure! But I'll take it.

Lovely and darn near perfect in Idaho right now. But projected to be 90ish later. 'But it's a DRY heat'. Silly me, headed to Yellowstone, to our non-air-conditioned condo. It'll be box fan in the bedroom window when it cools off in the evening. Daytime spent standing crotch deep in Henry's Fork of the Snake, whipping it to a froth with a fly rod. Should be more temperate after mid-week. Ya just can't plan these things.

I can take a polar vortex any day, but just can’t handle the high heat/humidity combination. I am glad to see that youth sports in my area are taking it seriously and cancelling baseball/soccer tourneys.
Stay safe out there!

The last few day in The Carolinas have been hot but with lower humidity. Today I see the humidity shot up. I am okay with the heat and sweating, it is the humidity that get to me.

Seems the southeast heat index will be lower then places in the northeast but still very high.

Someone my husband went to school with was mowing his fields, mower broke down, he attempted to walk back to house, passed out on the way. Wife found him, his temperature was 107, rushed to hospital, but is doing okay.
