Do Vidante contract owners still have to pay resort fees?

I've been wondering about this for awhile now. I exchange into RM or rent from SFX or buy a getaway from Interval International. As I recall the first time I paid the resort fee was 2015 with SFX. I always wanted to know if owners have to pay the resort fee also? I thought they would not as they already paid a bundle for their ownerships. I've recently paid the resort fee through II which is way more, but still worth it. When I can use points plus exchange fee and resort fee and still only pay under 550.00 for a one bedroom Grand Luxe BTW is gorgeous and well worth the money even if we only used 4 nites of the week.
As the years pass I see more and more inventory for Vidante resorts with all type of exchange agencies.
I recently got an offer from H.I.S offering a 2 bedroom rental for 995.00 was wondering if this included resort fee?
Just curious about this, as I have my hands fun with my Wyndham/El CID issues at the moment. To the tune of 955,000 points worth of cantracts being cancelled without an explanation as of this time. Thought I'd slip that in this post also in case anyone has any information for me on that issue. Thanks Tuggers your the best.

Currently - all exchanges into (most*) Vidanta properties have a resort fee . The fee varies by exchange company / probably based on the financial arrangement- revenue split , between Vidanta & the exchange company.
The fees also vary by Vidanta location and by suite size .
< * Mazatlan currently has no resort fee on RCI / construction is listed >

Owners do not pay a resort fee WHEN using their registered week or contractual bonus week .
There are times (mostly non-peak season ) when a exchange plus resort fee can cost less than using an owner week MF .

For peak season ( Jan- April / Christmas -Easter). renting from an owner can sometimes be the best route .
