I have tried to search the forum but can't find the answer.
I have 350,000 points banked with RCI
I need to get rid of them asap.
Is this allowed?

It is against RCI's policy to rent out exchanges. You'll read about people doing it, but they shouldn't be. You can be banned from RCI if you do it. While you can't charge rent, you can let a friend use the week.

You may be able to rent your points. I'll have to defer to others since I own weeks, not points.

Hi jpguazzo, Welcome to TUG!

I own a couple RCI Points resorts. I have been told by my resort and RCI that you can only rent out your reserved Home Week, not exchanges. When do your points expire?

Do you have friends or family or coworkers that are interested in traveling? You could gift them with a week vacation and introduce them to timesharing.

Are your 350,000 points, wyndham points? If so the good thing is it will take fewer exchanges to use them up. You can't advertise exchanges for rent but you can discreetly see if family and friends want to use and reimburse you for some of you costs. Other options are to let them expire or pay to extend if you think you can use later.

It’s none of my business, but why do you need to get rid of your RCI points? Are they about to expire?
You don’t want to travel or unable? Just trying to understand your situation?

Points are commonly listed for sale at a penny a point. If you use them with travel partners program they are worth nearly half that. RCI will also be happy to sell them to you for 1.5 cents per.

So 350K x 0.007 = $2450.oo USD potentially with travel partners / any hotel or flight anywhere kinda thing.

But commonly you get limited to 60K points per year. You may be able to use 2 years worth so 120K points. If you have an older RCI account and are not limited to 60K points use with travel partners you might be able to use it all locally.

If you try to sell them the buyer will want to know when they expire as I believe the recipient inherits your expiry date.

Good luck !

If they do happen to be Wyndham points, they can also be transferred within RCI to another Wyndham owner.

Yes they expire end of 2019 and I don't have time to use them.

You could make some reservations for family and friends and give them away. You'd be a real hero to them, but the rules say that you can't profit from the reservations.

keep in mind that the exchange fee would be about $239 plus the $89 guest cert fee to book.

Your deposited because your points were about to expire with Wyndham. Depositing in RCI doesn't cost anything and give you another chance to possibly use them but not really a way to monetize the points. If you couldn't use them during the year with Wyndham or the additional time with rci, you may just want to let them expire if you don't have any friends to book anything. You don't want to speculatively start booking because then you will be hundreds of more dollars in the hole and you may not end up finding anyone to use the reservations.
