The article says that in Economy Plus you get to drink "for free" even on domestic flights. Please tell me which airline(s) does this? Sure I have been able to drink for free in Economy Plus, but that didn't include anything alcoholic.

Thank you for this article. You always write an interesting "hook" to the things you post. I'm flying on JAL to Tokyo from Chicago on Premium Economy. I was told that their Premium Economy product is one of the best products in the airlines today. We get club access, priority check in, free bags, etc . I hope that the seats give us some extra comfort.

One of my friends, who travels a lot, told me she had flown Premium Economy on one of her long flights. She said it was very good.

This article is not the best - has some minor inaccuracies. I have been 1k on United so I can tell you how it works there.

Economy plus has the same service as Economy on United. Same food, same pillow, same entertainment, etc. Only difference is a larger seat pitch. You do get free alcohol in all cabins but the free alcohol in economy or e+ is limited.

United's premium economy product is not called "Premium Economy". It is called Premium Plus and it is the small mini cabin right after Biz class. It just officially started in April and it is a larger seat width in addition to more legroom plus premium food and amenities (Saks duvet, etc.)

This is only on international or flagship domestic flights. AFAIK, you dont receive free alcohol on domestic (non flagship) flights in economy.

Delta comfort gives free booze. And Virgin Atlantic’s premium economy is aaaahmazing.

I recently bought a seat on WestJet from LAX to London in premium economy for just $625. I’m looking forward to trying their premium econ on their new 787s. I also bought Norwegian Air Premium BCN to LAX for under $700. I’m curious which will be better.
