Sad, it's a nice franchise restaurant with good food, and always crowded. Thanks Steve for the report.
Hope they get it back up and running soon.

Sorry to hear of this fire and damages. They served some very nice smoke meats dishes, nice location on the Island, and they had some very friendly staff members.

I'm shocked a place called The Smokehouse had a fire!!! :ponder:

Seriously, I hope everyone is OK and the owners will be back on their feet soon.

Seems like Crazy Crab (Jarvis Creek location) took a long time to get back up and running
after their devastating fire......7 months in fact. It'll be a long haul for Smokehouse.

Seems like Crazy Crab (Jarvis Creek location) took a long time to get back up and running
after their devastating fire......7 months in fact. It'll be a long haul for Smokehouse.
It might be less time. I suspect part of the holdup with Crazy Crab was related to contractor availability and material pricing on the heels of the hurricane.

Rebuilding will likely be based mostly on if there was insurance covering the loss. Restaurants that don't rebuild is usually because there were no insurance proceeds.
