This warning is to the point, seen in a gift shop at the Puerto Vallarta airport.

Looks like along US 23 near Jackson, Michigan

Problem with this photo after looking at it, the vegetation is wrong and Michigan doesn’t have a mountain near the area I mentioned, but I’ve seen the exact same one in Michigan!

pretty much universal

&, unless it's 1969 and you're heading to Woodstock, it's good advice everywhere.

There's one (or always was) on I-80 east of Des Moines.

It looks like the one on I-10 heading west out of Phoenix, Goodyear is the name of the town I think.

Not sure just where the photo is now, but we enjoyed the stop signs in Waimea, HI - instead of S T O P - they read W H O A! In honor of their Paniolo's.

Signs seen in May 2019 in Nagoya, Japan:
1. Sticks must be overly-grilled "steaks"?
2. A rounge is where folks relax with adult beverages - ?

I’m sure this sign is in many places around the country, but I agree with the OP on seeing one in Michigan! (Just the photo terrain didn’t match!)
You are most likely correct on the Phoenix area!

When we were driving around rural Wales before a steep curve the road sign simply had a "!".

Hell , Grand Cayman.

Bill

There actually is a Hell, Michigan (aka Pinckney, north of Ann Arbor), they are known for their signs that can be hilarious.

Canada has had similar labelled cigarette packages which over the years have larger and larger warnings. By next fall they will have the following brown boxes exhibiting a cancer patient, a dire warning abut cancer and only a small space for the brand name. Not funny at all!

Bringing up an old thread. These are great. Not timesharing, but here’s one from the UP of Michigan. I always think of Captain Obvious when I see this one.
