Did anyone ever get a RCI trade into DVC Vero Beach?

Have you been successful getting a trade with RCI into DVC Vero Beach? If so what month?

June 2012; 1BR unit ... the very last trade made with my Seapointer week from South Africa. Sigh.

We stayed at DVB in April 2010. Used a fixed Orange Lake week that gave us enough TPU to stay at Vero. We had a one bedroom unit. But it was very nice just the two of us I wrote a review.
We no longer have the OL fixed week, have a points week. I haven’t seen DVB Available in years.

In early February 2012 or 2013. I had never learned to really use our RCI points account and we had points I could no longer extend. I remember having the rep help me find something in Florida within driving distance of us to use those points before we lost them. It was 32,000 points. I had no idea finding a reservation at this resort was a big deal, even while I was staying there! After that I made myself buckle down and learn.

May 2012 into a 2 bedroom over Mother's Day.
I haven't tried since then since I own DVC and just use my points.

I seem to remember some complaints that RCI wasn’t getting any exchanges from DVC. Soon after there were a lot of exchanges available.
Now all I see is Saratoga Springs and that’s a rare sight.

I got a 1 bedroom OKW in Feb this year so there
are a few other bones being thrown in here and there.
A friend got a BWV unit at the same time frame so
they are dripping a few units in.
She had an OGS and I picked up mine last minute
for 11 TPUs'.

Maybe a wide OGS would pick up a Vero unit.

I got nice trades into DVC Vero Beach in 2011 (2BR - 16 points), 2012 (1BR - 17 points), 2013 (studio - 11 points), and 2014 (1BR - 20 points, I think). They were all for Halloween week, or one week away. Great matches, then they disappeared. I wish they would come back.

More DVC members are realizing that they can rent their points at a profit.

We rented nearly 1200 points in 2 days last year. We only paid dues on about half as we had just closed on a resale.

RCI could never have returned anything like the cash we received. It paid for some parts of our Hawaii trip, a weeklong Disney Cruise for 4, and some of our trip to Italy.

DVC has also figured out that RCI is not a big draw for members. They don’t want the hassle. They complain about using RCI regularly. DVC does not operate like a traditional timeshare (part marketing and part reality), and they don’t want complaints.
