This site can’t be reached
tugbbs.com’s server IP address could not be found.
  • Try running Windows Network Diagnostics.

This morning some sites load immediately, some slowly and some not at all, on both my LT and DW's tablet.

I've done the diagnostics, checked for issues/outages with our Internet Provider, tested our download speed, and rebooted our modem/router.

All check out fine.

We just hate when this happens.

Still the same.

Some sites load, some don't.

No detected problems on our end.

Try changing your DNS to use Google, your ISP DNS server may be the problem.

I suppose I'm the only one who doesn't know what they're saying.

I appreciate the help, but now that it's working I don't feel all that motivated.

;)

Maybe when it doesn't work again I will be.

Computers dont understand web addresses by name, its a human thing, computers use numbered addresses (IPs). A Domain Name Service (DNS) computer translates names to numbers so the computers can find the site. A human types in www.tugbbs.com and the DNS server translates it to the IP numbered address so your web browser can find it. When you get random errors about not being able to find named web sites its bound to be a DNS problem.

Your ISP probably noted the errors and rebooted their DNS.
