i hit my ongoing search and am going to Callini in Sarasota in November. Now I have 21 tpus left with my deposit expiring in November this year and nothing else to deposit.
Problem is, not enough tpus to book anything close enough to where I live in Sw Florida unless it is close to the check in.
So do I put in another search now and do two trips in November, pay to extend and hope to get something else for 21, try to buy some tpus from someone which will cost me their charge, transfer fee, and combine fee, then trade fee or can someone think of another option?

I used to own a week at Calini, you will love it there. Do you have TPUs or points?
Check in the area you may be able to get a week before or after Calini?
I’ll check RCI.

You can’t get anything in sw Florida without an ongoing search except maybe Lehigh
And 21 tpus aren’t going to get me in.

I find myself in a similar boat. After 25 years as RCI member, I have 13 tpus to use before July 31. Don't want to pay any more $ to RCI. I have a Wyndham RCI account to use. But I admit there is a sentimental hook to the original account.

I found Sea Oats in Bradenton 19 TPU
Also a 2 bedroom Lehigh Acres 17 TPU.
Do you have RCI Platinum? If so there are 3 other resorts that are under 21 TPU in November.
Go to RCI.com the Sea Oats will be snapped up soon I bet!

Maybe make a reservation and "gift" it to someone? I've heard grateful "friends" might send you a "Thank You gift" - in cash. ;)

I am amending my comment to wanting a trade to a place that doesn’t get ones on trip advisor and offers something that I don’t have at my own home.

I meant @rapmarks could do it to use up the 21 TPUs. :)

Similar first-world problem: I have no TPUs in my RCI Weeks account, and no longer own any Weeks timeshares. I haven't registered my WorldMark account with RCI because I don't know how much I'd use it, and I don't want to pay another fee to them. The only use I've had from RCI in several years is buying Extra Vacations for a coworker, because my timesharing reservations prior to owning WorldMark have all been staying where I owned - no exchanging. Probably won't renew this RCI account when it expires, but still deciding whether to start a new one through WM. #Decisions

I am not booking something as a gift. Since 1991 when I started, people who were joining us think nothing of canceling at very last minute. If I booked for them, I would be throwing away my original cost, my exchange fee and my guest fee.

Ok so are you a Platinum member? There were 3 nice resorts Priority Access but you can only book them if you are Platinum. Hope you find a nice place John! I was just trying to help.

For November something should match with an ogs. If you wait probably two weeks out higher demand areas will pop up when someone cancels for a low tpu count. You have enough tpus that I would pay to extend if you chose not to go in November.

I think I will put in ogs and if nothing pops by late August extend into December. Seems like lots of late deposits in December. But ogs stops two weeks before check in

I would like to get beach front, but I don’t want to drive far. And my husband does way better in familiar places.

I can’t search for December so if there is anything good, let me know. I would consider smugglers cove, but one trip to Sarasota area is really enough.
I will put in a search for area I would like, but of course can’t include December, which is when I would prefer to go.

Ok, I thought I was clear about November being the month to go. Most of those are in September and December.
I looked at the ones near st Petersburg, I was hyperventilating driving over a high bridge in Green Bay. I would cause a traffic jam stopped on the Sunshine Bridge. So won’t go there. This winter, a truck went off the bridge over Mirror Lake and dropped 100 feet into the frozen lake. just looking at the pictures did me in.
