Gift from Marriott Bonvoy

I just received an email from Marriott with a $50 Marriott GiftCard as a Thank You for being a Marriott Bonvoy Elite member. I don't remember if I saw another thread here about this subject. Has anyone else received this recently?

Apparently, Loyalty Lobby is reporting this today on their website/ newsletter.

This previously loyal Lifetime Titanium got a lump of coal.

So far this year i have 27 Hyatt nights 22 Hilton stays (24 nights) and 22 Marriott nights, 15 of them from credit card bonus.

Will requalify for Hilton Diamond and probably Hyatt Globalist.

Marriott continues to give me no reason to remain loyal and with Lifetime Titanium i have no compelling reason to.

My husband is lifetime Titanium - nothing! I am Titanium with 60 Nights this year - nada!

Lifetime plat for wife and I and no way to get to qualify for lifetime titanium. But I have been platinum premiere since 2014. Wife and I both have over 80 nights each this year. We both got nothing from marriott not even an email.

Lifetime Titanium and got nothing. Kinda smack in the face considering I have been a Marriott rewards member for over 30 years. Maybe it is time to use other systems like Hyatt, Hilton, and IHG.

Agreed, it seems like the more loyal you are to Marriott, the more they take you for granted. This is not Bill Marriott's philosophy, but I guess things have changed!

I'm a lowly Platinum Elite, no lifetime. I agree that it seems counterintuitive not to reward the highest loyalty levels. I wonder if they are rewarding us lower levels in an effort to incentivize to reserve/spend more and move up the chain? Just a thought. Not a new marketing strategy but certainly shouldn't preclude also rewarding their biggest customers.

Do you know if Marriott Vacation Club resorts are covered?
