Hello,

I have never tried exchange with Interval before but am considering banking a WPORV 2BR Lockoff this year with Interval. This is probably a basic question....but is there any distinction in the Interval system based on the Vistana property banked...for example does banking WPORV get you more in exchange than banking SVR?

Thanks!
Bob

First of all, I definitely would not buy WPORV for an exchanger. It has a really high maintenance fee, so it's not a cost effective exchanger.

If you bought it from the developer and you have Staroptions, you will get a lot more value out of using the Staroptions.

Regarding trading power - they short answer is it probably has more trading power than SVR, but we can't quantify it, because II does not disclose that Info.

When exchanging with II, all Vistana resorts have priority for all Vistina deposits, so the problem is not the trading power. The problem is that there is far more demand, than supply, for high quality exchanges. Depositing WPORV into II is like depositing your Mercedes into a pool of Chevys.

Here is the most important question: Where do you want to trade into?

Thanks Denise,

We did buy from Developer (wish we would have found this thread first) and have made pretty good use of the Star Options since purchasing but we were thinking of trying to go somewhere like Europe.

You will probably do better to rent your week out for cash and use the cash to book something for Europe. Timeshare options in II for Europe are somewhat weak and not always in the city centers where most want to go.
