It looks like we'll be exchanging in the week before Christmas.
Which location would be best for the grandkids.
3 possibly 4 girls, all aged 9 - 12.

Thanks.

GM is closer to the pools. GB has a larger deck and plunge pool. You will most likely ride the tram to the pool area at either. The unit sizes are about the same, but the kitchen dining area in GB seems to be a little larger. The GB kitchen has 2 under-counter refrigerators and fairly good storage space. All units will have Jungle View.

If you trade for the GM, you will most likely be in the "Jungle" GM buildings. Therefore, if it were me, I would choose the GB over the GM. They are built alongside one another and are a rather long walk to the pools/beach along their elevated winding wooden walkways. There is transportation, but that means waiting for carts.
Like Phyllis wrote, 2 small fridges instead of one. The GB units are very nicely done. On the other hand, if you can get GM 1-7 with their location closer to the pools and beach, go for that instead.

Thanks. The wife and I exchanged into the grand luxxe a few years ago and other than the presentation, it was great.. As we won't have a choice of where we get put, we'll look at the Bliss.

There is a difference between Bliiss and Grand Bliss .

Bliss is a Mayan Palace size unit with a different decor . Vidanta (currently)only has Bliss units at RM.

Grand Bliss can be found at RM & NV .

Huge difference in Bliss and Grand Bliss! The Bliss is a Mayan Place unit with different furniture - sofa & love seat in Living Room instead of 2 sofas. Small kitchen with one under-counter fridge and 2 burner cook-top. No deck or plunge pool.

Look for any 2-bedroom that has Grand in front of it! :)

we like grand mayan because of the plunge pool on the deck for our young kiddos.

Like others have said you will likely ride the tram.

we like walking so the kids can run and go nuts on the way too & from. results in the same period of time because tram routes are longer than just walking directly.

Grand Bliss would get you into the Beach Club potentially (unless they have it owners only when you’re there). Both have plunge pools. Grand Mayan in RM is a bit closer to everything, though. (In NV, Grand Bliss is more centrally located.) Resort fee is the same for both.

The week before Christmas will probably not get Beach Club access and it is more for adults. With 3-4 grandkids ages 9-12 - they will like the huge MP pool the best and at least one day he could spring for a Palapa Bed. The kids will like the plunge pool at GM or GB a lot too.
