If you get resort credit for doing a presentation and they knock it off your bill are you supposed to get the rewards on the total amount or they don’t give it on the credit.

My understanding is on the amount charged after discounts. It's the part that's charged to your card for any that is charge related.

I would agree, no points earned on the spend where they applied credit. So if you had $600 in charges and a $100 credit, you would only get points on the $500. Also note, you don't get points on taxes.

I am seeing mixed results. For example I have had credits at Lakeshore Reserve where I received points on the total before the credits but the opposite occurred at Beach Place Towers.

Since points are given in this scenario based on the spend amount, the only way this should happen is if they did the charge for the full amount then gave a separate credit back to the card or in cash or towards an items that didn't qualify for points like area taxes though normally resort credits can't be used for taxes. If they gave a credit back you'd get points on the spend and as I understand it then a separate deduction of points based on the adjustment.

Nope. The credits are on the bill prior to charging anything. I have no idea why. Maybe Lakeshore's coding is wrong for their credits.

Maybe we're talking different items. The only points I'm aware of that are spend driven at for the CC and that is based on the charge and if they credit more points and if there is a later cash credit back they will also deduct the points. The OP was about reward credits which I assumed was for the CC charges.

They asked about a presentation credit and points given for the stay so that has to be the points from the hotel bill. The CC points would be total spend.

I reread the OP and they asked about a resort credit and knocking it off the bill so I presumed (and still do) they were asking about a $$$ releted credit and since they asked if they would get credit on the bill before or after the credit. AKAIK, the only credit that would be variable related to spending is rewards based on a CC spend. Anyway, that is the orientation of my answer.
