Does anyone know what the taxi fare from Vidanta RM to Xcaret would run? I know there was a post fairly recently with a picture of the taxi fares to various destinations but I can't seem to find it.

Thanks,
Mike

575 pesos. You can find taxi fares on the Vidanta app by going to the resort your at (Riviera Maya), then selecting info on the bottom right, then scrolling down and selecting taxi fares and pushing the button that says taxi fares. That will give you a table of the common destinations.

You're quite welcome! BTW, they should be opening up the new Vidanta waterpark towards the end of June. No idea how it compares to Xcaret yet, though, or what the costs will be.

For a family of 4 this seems more cost effective than getting a bus tour package? Also this would allow flexibility on timing. Has anyone done it this way? We go in October.

Yes, although it was a while ago. Our first time to Vidanta was at the GM and we went to Xcaret from downtown PDC (don't recall why exactly), got there are like 10:30 a.m. spent the day and also did the night show and then took a cab ride "home". It does offer the flexibility to leave when you want vs. the bus tour albeit the taxi conditions may not be as nice as the bus (LOL). If you have kids, I'd strongly suggest making sure the seatbelts work in the taxi BEFORE you commit/get in.

We just received the email from Vidanta announcing the opening of the park this summer. It sounds interesting and I'm sure that my granddaughter would love it. Unfortunately we are going June 8th so probably out of luck but may be I can get some more information.

Compared to the package it does look as though we would be saving close to $50. Plus the flexibility makes this seem the most practical thing to do.
