Oddly enough, when we checked into Grande Visa and Ocean Pointe recently...the MVCI front desk staff at both locations verbally recognized our Titanium Bonvoy status....and did NOT verbally say anything about MVCI Presidential status. I found this odd at an MVCI resort, especially both locations where I own. I
In all honesty, I think my II exchange views historically have been as good as or better than my ownership views (at Grande Vista, Ocean Pointe, Maui Ocean Club, and Ko Olina)...even if I book well in advance (12-13 months). While I'm sure MVCI status helps when comparing like guests and Bonvoy status can't hurt, it all comes down to what villas are available at check-in which will match to your view and stay length. With the introduction of DC Pts and flexibility to check-in any day of the week....I think the local rooms reservations teams have more of a challenge than in past with less opportunity and inventory to choose from to map towards your exact stay, view, and length. I also believe checking in early helps, we those who are early may have the opportunity to ask to wait for a better view/building/location..if reservations knows it may become available later in the day. Taking that better room from someone who checks in later, leaving the worse view for later check-ins also.
Just my 2 cents.
